Damage Assessment

A detailed damage assessment was conducted on two scales, Macro and Micro, and assessed by Land Uses Residential, Services, Commercial, and Industrial to quantify the amount of damage for each typology. One Works prepared analyses of the damage assessment submitted by the Mykolaiv Municipality at the end of August.

Macro Scale Analysis

The received data for damage assessment was presented in two forms: 'points' containing information on individual object damage levels up to the present moment, and 'polygons' that helped identify damaged buildings but provided less detailed information compared to the point data.

Micro Scale Analysis

The micro-scale damage assessment focuses on individual buildings that have suffered damage due to the conflict, as well as identifies a number of attributes that are particularly relevant beyond the severity of the damage, such as the intended use of the building, the number of floors and the people involved.
