Mykolaiv City Concept Masterplan
Following a thorough damage assessment of the city and an extensive community engagement strategy, an overarching concept urban design plan was developed. This plan focuses on addressing the city’s current challenges and includes the input from local specialists, the community, and our international coalition of industry experts.
The goal is to create strategic guidelines that ensure a sustainable, resilient, and equitable future development for the city, while also stimulating economic growth through investment, job creation, and improved quality of life.

Mykolaiv Concept Masterplan (Report 3 - Part 1): Concept Designs
This report delves into key topics essential for implementing Mykolaiv's overarching strategies for sustainable development. It encompasses a transport plan promoting a green and flexible mobility network, a discussion on shifting urban planning practices towards a more transparent and participatory approach, a study on the potential of the city's heritage, and an assessment identifying optimal sites for pilot projects focused on heritage and green public spaces.
Mykolaiv Concept Masterplan (Report 2): Vision and Strategy Report
Building upon a thorough analysis of Mykolaiv's current situation, this report presents a preliminary overarching strategy for the city's sustainable future. Developed by the One Works Foundation-led team, the strategy incorporates insights from studies on international and Ukrainian sustainability policies, environmental conditions, demographic projections, and potential post-conflict scenarios. This report outlines the proposed key interventions in urban design, landscape, and mobility, laying the groundwork for further discussion and development in the coming months.

For the future masterplan for the city of Mykolaiv, the first phase included a series of studies to clearly understand existing conditions, challenges and opportunities regarding all aspects of the city.
