The reconstruction of Mykolaiv’s city centre, is not merely about rebuilding physical structures; it aims to restore the heart and soul of the city. By carefully selecting and revitalising landmarks of historical and cultural significance, this project seeks to create a powerful symbol of hope and resilience for the people of Mykolaiv.

Based on community engagement and desktop based analysis, two historical edifices have been selected for this pilot project; one because it is considered to be Mykolaiv’s most valuable and iconic building and the other based on its strong potential to boost the morale of the local community through reconstruction.
